Our lifes are so catchy and so busy, that at times we dnt even have time for God, and we put it on the last minutes. Like umm ill read the bible before i go to sleep, (the last minutes of the day and your like falling asleep already, practically drooling on the bible, and dnt get a word the Bible just said) or ill tell my neighbors/classmates/co-workers about God later, i have alot of time/i can do it tommorow. And day after day after day same old excuses. same with praising the Lord at churches as in singing in the choir/preaching/saying verses/prayer groups..etc. Did you ever think that it might be tooo late? Did you ever have the thought that you might die one day, and thats it.. the end of worshiping God? And to point one fact out for you is, we are made/put on this earth to worship/praise/live for God. So, when the day comes and your gonna leave this earth you cant praise and worhip God in the graves and that will be the end of your mission, and when you are going to come before God its gonna be too late. As psalms 88:10-12 "Will you work wounders for the dead? Shall the dead arise and praise You? Selah. Shall Your loving kindness be declared in the grave? Or Your faithfulness in the place of destruction? Shall Your wonders be known in the dark? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetness?" These verses state that the dead cant show Gods wonders and in the Grave you cant show how loving and kind our Lord is and in the dark how are you going to show people our God? Later/tommorow/ is gonna be late. Think twice. Just put your mind on how great and wounderful our Lord is and how mercy He is to us. Read Psalms 85 - anything that we ask for from our Lord, He gives/loves/cares. You cant praise God after death, so why not praise Him with our lifes and live for Him so we wont regret the eternity.
hmmm...what about heaven? isnt this earth but a fraction of our worship? revelations 4:8 (speaking about the four creatures) says" day and night they never stopped saying: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come" the entire chapter and the next deals with worhip going on forever and ever .. every time heaven is revealed to man it is revealed as a place of worship(is 6 and other places)..in fact that is what makes heaven heaven: God and our ability to fully worship and commune with Him as we ought without any hinderences(tired, other commitments..)
ReplyDeletei think the psalm you are talking about is saying that those who are in Hades(temporary hell) cannot worship God though again phill. 2:10 says "at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth" so even those in hell will acknowledge Jesus as LORD! but they cannot worship as we worship...
idk myabe i understood wrongly?? maybe youre trying to say that once we are dead we can no longer work for God..as in to add to our reward? .. i was just referring to the comment "you cannot praise God after death" while i am setting all my hope that i will be spending an eternity doing just that. i think that's the beauty of heaven..at least for me! i cannot WAIT until the day when i am allowed to fall at His feet and stay there for at least a million or two years just worshipping and not having to worry about anything else!!
